Goals

1.     Enhance SNPhA’s public image by contributing to conferences and health fairs

2.  Greater focus on Ethnicity and drugs by:

a.     Multicultural Pharmaceutical Care

b.    Disease State Management

c.     Skill Development

3.  Reduce morbidity and mortality of chronic diseases such as: diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, sickle cell anemia, congestive heart failure, and asthma.

-  Focusing on managing and improving the health status of a carefully defined minority patient population over the entire course of the disease.

-  By fostering pharmacists–patient conventional relationships to promote patient participation in their own health care.

  -    Caring for patients drug related needs.

  -    Counseling

  -    Drug Therapy Monitoring

  -    Modifying prescribed therapy

  -    Non-prescriptive or non-drug treatments

  -    Eliminating communication barriers between patients and health care providers.

4.  Pharmacy education issues:

a.   Recruitment in the College of Pharmacy

b.   Establish high school affliation groups with SNPhA
