Applied Research Methods Using Retrospective Data Sources

PHSC5343  This course will outfit students with the skills necessary to analyze and conduct studies using retrospective health care data with a focus on large administrative claims data such as Medicaid and private payer insurance claims.  Students will use SAS to analyze actual health care data.  Instruction on study design, statistical techniques, and data integrity issues specific to observational studies using these data sources will be offered.
