Students will typically take the following course sequence over 2 academic years and must successfully complete and defend a thesis.

Required Courses:

PHSC5323: Foundations of Pharmaceutical Evaluation and Policy Research Methods (various PEP faculty)

PHSC5191: Pharmaceutical Evaluation and Policy Seminar (various PEP faculty) at least 3 credit hours

BIOM5013: Biometrical Methods I

BIOM5023: Biometrical Methods II

BIOM5173: Quantitative Epidemiology I  (same as NUSC5173)

PHSC600V: Thesis Research at least 6 credit hours

At least 2 of the following departmental core courses (Courses to be offered every other year):

PHSC5333: Social Behavioral Theory in Pharmacy (West)

PHSC5343: Applied Research Methods using Retrospective Data Sources (Martin)

PHSC5353: Pharmacoeconomics and Health Care Technology Assessment (Martin)

PHSC5363: Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy Analysis (Said)

PhSC5383: Applied Health Econometrics (Li)

Non U.S. trained health care professionals must take the following:
PHSC5373: US Health Care Systems  (Various PEP Faculty)

Electives:
