Text Box: Kappa Psi is a professional Pharmaceutical Fraternal Organization founded in 1879.  It holds the honor of being the first professional fraternity in pharmacy, and it maintains the largest membership of all pharmaceutical fraternities in the United States.  The Fraternity, through the activities of its membership, promotes advancement of the profession of pharmacy through education, brotherhood, and social events.   The Gamma Omega chapter of Kappa Psi was founded at the UAMS College of Pharmacy in 1955.  Service projects conducted by the Gamma Omega chapter include Adopt-A-Highway and the current Kappa Psi philanthropy.  Members are also very active in professional projects such as health screenings conducted by the college.  The chapter is also known for its famous chili recipe that can be tasted at various times throughout the year at a Kappa Psi Chili Pie fundraising event.
