Grading Policies for Clinical Clerkships

 

Students will be graded by the College of Pharmacy faculty members and the preceptor based on the rotation Goals and Objectives.  Whenever possible, deficiencies are to be discussed (ideally mid-way through the rotation) with the student and every effort made to correct them before a student completes the assigned rotation.  A Mid-Rotation Evaluation Form should be completed for each student by the site preceptor.

 Breakdown of Grades

 

1.      Pass/Fail Requirements                                                                                    P/F

·        Top 200 exam (70% is passing score)

·        C-II Narcotics Form

·        Mock State Board Inspection

·        Presentation of At-Risk Patient and Topic to Site Preceptor

·        Documentation of management discussion

 

2.      OTC Case Presentations                                                                                   14%

·        2 case presentations at UAMS with SOAP notes 12% (6% ea)

·        2 SOAP notes                                                              2% (1% ea)

 

3.      At-Risk Case and Topic Presentation                                                               20%

 4.      Clinical or Management Project                                                                           8%

 5.      Participation                                                                                                           8%  

 6.      Preceptor Evaluation                                                                                           50%
